"Grandpa Elliot Playing For Change"

Oil on canvas board 8 x 10 inches
$125.00 USD plus s/h
What began 4 years ago with the pairing of street musicians in Santa Monica and New Orleans on classic Ben E.King track "Stand By Me", quickly became an Internet sensation with well over 30 million views, as well as a top 10 record.
Grandpa Elliott born Elliot Small a beloved New Orleans street musician. Once he played the role of a blind man on the street. He played that act for several years. Now unfortunately it is no act. Blindness runs in his family. His grandma was blind and his aunt is also blind. He lost sight in one eye and can see silhouettes in the other eye.

Wow.... Irit! This is wonderful from the choice of subject to the way you painted it. I love the close crop of Granpa Elliot's face and hand. You rendered the shiny nose, moist lips and very challenging white beard very well. I can almost see him rocking back and forth to the music. Well Done!
