Girl from the Dominican Republic # 1

This is my first piece from a series, The Kids Of The Dominican Republic.
We have gone on vacation years ago to the beautiful Dominican Republic. We had a chance to see some of the countryside too.
This place has such rhythm in the music, dance and song. The music you can hear everywhere you are.
The kids of the Dominican Republic, are happy!!! They may be the poorest, but they dont know that. They play in the street and enjoy themselves. They love bright colors which goes perfect with their skin tone.
As a people person and colors lover ,I was very excited about this series. I collected all the photos and started. What a joy painting the faces of the kids. I have no idea how many I am going to make. I will post them almost daily.
I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

Wonderful, Irit! Love those colored bands in her hair. This should prove to be a delightful series. Can't wait to see more!

What a wonderful debut for a series. Your love and passion for the subject matter really shows. I love the perfect skin tones complimented by those bright colors.

It is obvious you enjoyed those children. You see what is in their eyes and you put it on canvas. Your colors are so rich and their skin tone is great!

More to come, I hope?
